YSDO’s women-focused programs are redefining economic inclusion in Galmudug. Through business training, cooperative development, market access, and small grant programs, women—especially widows and GBV survivors—are gaining the tools to build stable and independent lives.
Programs also include literacy, leadership, and life-skills training, creating pathways for participation in local decision-making and entrepreneurship. YSDO works closely with the Ministry of Women and Family Affairs to ensure programs are both gender-responsive and locally relevant. Thousands of women have already benefited from initiatives like the Women in Enterprise for Resilience & Recovery (WERR) project.
