YSDO provides practical vocational training programs that equip youth and adults in Galmudug with marketable skills for employment and entrepreneurship. Our courses cover tailoring, mechanics, solar energy, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, agribusiness, and ICT – all designed to meet local labor market demands.
We deliver training through both fixed centers and mobile units that reach remote communities. All programs offer industry-recognized certifications and job placement assistance. Our proven approach has already trained over 3,500 youth and women, with 85% of graduates securing employment in their fields.
What sets YSDO apart is our government partnerships, community-focused approach, and emphasis on sustainable skills like solar technology. We maintain strong gender inclusion, with women making up 40% of trainees even in traditionally male-dominated trades like mechanics.
